Ever since we founded the company in 1981, we have concentrated our energies on creating new products and improving our range. Down the years we've also enjoyed the support of some very loyal customers. We never could have got to where we are today without all that you've done to spread the word. Following is an explanation of the underlying beliefs that inspire everything that we do and why we do the things the way we do. We hope they inspire you too.

	OUR VALUES Whenever we can we choose organic ingredients over non-organic ones. We try to practice what we preach: 75% of us who work in our shops in the UK are trained in natural medicine. We don't believe in genetically-modified ingredients and we never use them. We never test on animals and we're a member of the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection).
	MADE IN ENGLAND At Neal’s Yard Remedies, we design, test and handmake all our own products at our eco-headquarters and physic garden in Dorset, England. It’s home to our team of experts in natural health and beauty who create our award winning products.
	OUR PRODUCTS In our state of the art labs, we develop herbal remedies and skin and body care products that use the nourishing properties of the purest natural ingredients. We dislike artificial scents as much as you do so we only fragrance our products with pure essential oils. We're proud to have been the first company to achieve Soil Association certification for non-food products.
	OUR INGREDIENTS We need the very best ingredients, and we grow many of the plants we use on site or at our farm. Where we do need ingredients from around the world, we use only ethical providers who share our commitment to sustainability. CLICK for detailed ingredient information.
	ORGANIC MATTERS Organic means respecting nature. No pesticides. No genetic modification, Local production wherever we can. It also means honesty and integrity. No false claims. That’s why Neal’s Yard Remedies follows the strict standards set by the Soil Association and puts the CERTIFIED ORGANIC logo on our organic products. Because organic matters. Need we say more?
